New Users in New Zealand and Philippines to Pay $1 Yearly Fee for X, formerly Twitter
X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, will begin charging new users $1 a year to access key features including the ability to tweet, reply, and quote, according to a source familiar with the matter and later confirmed by the company.
The $1 annual charge is only for new users and does not apply to existing users. It’s unclear if, or when, the payment plan will be expanded to users in other countries. The program is also different from X Premium, which offers extra features like “Undo” and “Edit” for posts for $8 a month.

ByteDance Launches CapCut for Business Featuring AI-Generated Scripts and Hosts
The launch of CapCut for Business by ByteDance is a significant move that underlines the company's vision for leveraging AI in content creation. Here are some insights into what this could mean for businesses and the broader industry:
AI-Driven Video Creation: AI has the potential to revolutionize the content creation process. With AI-generated scripts and presenters, businesses can streamline their video production, making it faster, more efficient, and more consistent. This is especially useful for smaller businesses that might not have the budget for a full-fledged video production team.
Cost Savings: Traditional video production can be expensive, requiring scriptwriters, actors, directors, and post-production teams. AI-driven tools can significantly reduce these costs, allowing even small and medium enterprises to produce high-quality video content.
Personalization at Scale: One of the major advantages of AI is its ability to personalize content at scale. Businesses can use CapCut for Business to create personalized video content for different audiences, ensuring that the messaging is tailored and relevant.
Github Trendings: MemGPT
Introducing MemGPT: 🎒 It's like AI got a fancy new backpack. It can put all the important stuff you say in there, and even if you talk A LOT, they'll remember. It's like a magical diary (but without the dark magic, promise!)
Problem: 🧠 Big-brained AIs, or Large Language Models (LLMs) are kinda like Dory from "Finding Nemo". They are smart, but sometimes forget things if the chat gets too long. It's not their fault; we've just got small attention spans!
The Cool Solution: Imagine if your computer could suddenly use your fridge as extra storage when it runs out of space. That's the idea behind "virtual context management". It's like a magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat but for AI memory.
How Does it Work? Think of this as a mini-game of "pass the parcel". When GPT is about to forget something, they send it to their backpack. And when they need it, pull it back out. The cool part? It can interrupt and ask you questions or let you know they are Smart!
